This Halloween themed pot luck was attended by about 52 SAE members. Several wore very creative costumes and were put on display.  The rest of us voted and the Pirate (Terry Mondy) won Best Costume...  ARRGGHH!   Delicious chicken cacciatore was served by HOA and everyone else brought yummy extra dishes and of course, desserts!

Cul-de-sac on North Brockfield

The Spring Pot Luck of 2019 had a St. Patrick's Day theme.   Many shades of green could be seen and we dined on traditional Shepherd's Pie and of course, all the scrumptious sides and desserts that we neighbors brought to the affair.   The weather was Florida beautiful and for once, even the winds stayed just lightly breezy.

A very nice crowd of 65 neighbors gathered to feast on ham and rolls (provided by SAEHOA). Everyone brought accompanying dishes and desserts.  It was all delicious, as usual!   Since it was Earth Day, we went with a Spring plant theme.  19 plants and other donated items were raffled off and Giant Mammoth Stripe sunflower seeds were given to everyone to plant in their yards.  Hopefully, in a few months, we will enjoy seeing these huge beauties blooming around SAE.

Saturday, April 16

We used the Florida Room again.  It was cool, comfortable, and dry!   About 50 neighbors gathered to feast on ham and rolls (provided by SAEHOA) and all the other delicious accompanying dishes and desserts brought by the members.   We held a count the beans contest, which was won by Doug Gill and raffled off several great little prizes.

Saturday, April 6

​We met for the first time in the Eberhardt Building, a smaller yet comfy meeting space with a kitchen.  Many newbies to SAE showed up and it was great to meet them!  We played a fun game of trivia with two self-named teams - The Dixies and The Champs.  All were rewarded with a nice prize and The Champs, who won, happily wore their crowns.  The tables were adorned with flowering plants which were raffled off at the end of our time together.

FALL POT LUCK 2021

Saturday, October 2

Finally!  We were able to gather together - meet and greet, break bread, and make merry.  The Fall Pot Luck of 2021 was held in the Florida Room - ahh, air conditioning!   It was a nicely attended affair with about 50 neighbors.  Everyone was well fed on homemade spaghetti, the additional sides and many desserts.  We even had a DJ who volunteered his time and talent to the festivities.

Sunday, October 22

​About 40 showed up to this one time only (we hope) Sunday Pot Luck.  We had competition from the the NFL games.  It was Taco Time and everyone ate delicious tacos with numerous tasty desserts.  Some even arrived in costume.  No pics were taken at this event. Maybe, everyone was having too good a time feasting and chatting!

Saturday, October 26

The forecast was windy, rainy, and still too hot so, this year we brought it indoors for the first time.  Denise, our President, was able to reserve the Sandpiper Room at the last minute.   The place was decked out with the Fall/Halloween theme and many neighbors gathered in our cool and dry space.   We ate food, played games, and mostly, chatted and caught up with one another.  

It was a great time!

2024 Fall Pot Luck:   Saturday, October 19 at 5pm in the Florida Room, Atrium, Central Campus.  Details to follow.   CANCELLED because of Hurricane Milton.

The first ever, SAE neighborhood Golf Cart & Caroling event was held on Friday, 12/20/19.   After receiving an email from Sheriff Merry who reminded us that driving our golf carts after dark is illegal, EVEN  within the confines of St. Andrews Estates, we were on to PLAN B.  So it was now called Christmas Cookie Swap Meet & Greet and/or Sing-a-Long.   Several of us met at about 6pmat the cul-de-sac on North Brockfield to enjoy holiday music, delicious cookies, hot cocoa, and a warm fire.  We amused ourselves with Christmas trivia games.   Some of us (not me :)) have very good memories!  

This was a neighborhood event, not funded by the HOA and we will definitely plan another similar event in the near future.

   The Autumn Pot Luck was a blast!  We had a Halloween theme and several brave souls dressed up and were in contention for a prize.   The weather really cooperated and felt "Fall-ish". The food, as usual, was sooooo....good!   Several of us stayed after dark and commiserated for a bit around a fire.
